my last day in this securities firm is 2 days ago. stayed till the latest i ever had to handover as much as possible, in the end kena lock out of office with my barang barang still in there. bobian, had to went back yesterday early in the morning to get back my stuff and surrander my pass. it was a quick went back as when i reach home, its 8.40am, the normal time i will reach office...

shaun, zixiang n junming came today n we had a great boardgame session (at least for me). we tried out clans, carcassonne and a game of thrones...

clans:
first time playing it, a simple game, simple plot but u really need to figure out the outcome...

carcassonne:
first time i had a 4 players game, saw the variance if there are more ppl playing...

a game of thrones:
as there is a lot of rules to it, n bcos i have nv tried it out myself too, i had a difficult time explaining it, but i believe will be better if i have the chance to explain it again. in short, u need to know the rules well in order to play it well n tacticful...

i think im really not awake this morning...

in the morning, i always take the private bus to work n the cost of it is 90 cents. since march, we are able to use EZlink card to make our payment. however there are still some buses that do not have that device. the bus that i took this morning is one of that. after i board the bus, then i realised that i need to pay cash. i took out my wallet n start to dig for my coins. almost at the same time, the person behind me showed that he had a $2 note. this somehow implies that i can pay him my bus fair so that he can get the change. normally, ppl will pass either 90 cents or $1 coin to the person who is paying via a $2 note. for my case, 1 person is $0.90 ma, so 2 ppl is $1.80 loh, so i passed him $0.20 for his change... obviously this is not correct -.-" , but i only realise it only after i took my seat. well since i cant recognise who is that guy, thts nothing i can do to pay him back, so gd wishes to him ba...

(dun come n get money frm me in the morning, i normally give less...)

finally can squeeze a bit of time out to do this entry. actually gotten these 2 following games last fri, but jus cant find time to talk abt it...

the below is shogun (3-5 players), as u can read from the box. dun hav time to read the instruction booklet yet, all i know is... well, frm the name, u shd know its a warring game, but u do not need to eliminate anyone to win the game, and... wait till i have read the instructions ba...

now this is carcassonne (2-5 players), and in this set, it includes 5 expansion sets (adding any expansion set can help to make it a 6 players playable game). all i can say is that this is a real value package, save ard $70 if i buy them individually. had played the basic game with my sis, not bad leh, but i believe will be better if there are more players...

went to IT fair last sun with my family. well as usual, squeeze thro all ur way. for us, theres a bit different this year cos we ar going to get more than 1 item (which is wat had done for those past fair), 1 CPU for my parent and a set of speaker for my sis. my cousin as usual is doing part-time at one of the store pomoting products. likely is bcos its the last day, a lot of items have been sold out, so too bad, cant get anything frm my cousin. however, the gd point is slaching of prices starts n gd bargain can be found everywhere. in the end, we gotten a compaq CPU with spec so much higher than my sis n mine PC -.- , of course we oso extended the warrenty as e destructive ability of my parents is forseeable...

as promise, i gotten a set of speaker for my sis. i cant afford expensive one but at least e one i gotten was not too bad, the bass is quite gd. since my cousion is working, we oso help her to get a printer since hers is an antique, cant get cheap cartridge for her printer liao...

all i can say, quite gd bargain for all these items...

the below expansion is for ticket to ride, n its card is actually meant for e europe version de. as for this expansion, its really to make a mess out of every 'smooth' route, hee...

i did talk abt e below game some time ago. what i like for this game is tht with e expansion set 'the dark city' (which is included in it), it allows up to 8 player to play, quite gd for a big group...

好久没回国大读书了，今天终于把懒虫赶跑了，虽然起床还是迟了一点，不过好过起不来吧。。。

到了buona vista，想起 dover market 好像在翻新，所以跑去 holland drive market 找我的午餐。既然要去那里，就顺便来碗花生湖糊吧。哪知到了巴刹，发现没卖了，我也就几年没来了就没卖了，咳。。。之后再巴刹里走了走，便决定吃碗豆花，我看着那里写着 $0.80 的，于是提了$1 给 auntie，想会找回2毛钱给我吧，怎知是3毛钱嘞，我看着auntie，她说：“初一十五观音诞，扣1毛。”我当场真的傻眼了 -.-

之后跑去角落头的一家咖啡店，去找那家我喜欢吃的‘友记鸭饭’，结果发现那家咖啡店装修过，那鸭饭摊位也没了。哎哟，我也就几年没来嘛，怎么也没了呢！结果还是回到了巴刹去寻找别的午餐来打包吧。。。

first day of the chinese new year n i experienced something new in my life le. kena sabo by my 大伯 to play mj, so nothing much wat? but they are playing 3'6 n it start off frm $1 leh. O.O" I nv play tht high b4, normally is jus 20'40cents for my game. thts it, for the whole 东风 round, my heartbeat was beating very fast loh, much faster than walking up to get to know gals loh (maybe i jus 厚脸皮 la), cannot concentrate at all. at the end of the game, jus donated $10+ for the lesson fee, not too bad la. i believe next time wont be that bad liao le la, 一次生，两次熟 ma, but i dun wish to have a second time la, haha...

今天又回到国大读书了，第一站，便是到 dover market 吃早餐。到了那里，发现很多店面都在清理他们的东西，不是过年的大扫除，而是要搬迁的清理哦。既然如此，早餐便决定是我觉得在这小岛难得比较好吃的鱼片汤了。又不是考试期间，我既然打包了午餐回国大，看来我真是懒了。。。

在读书的时候，突然被一只大蚊子叮了，可是马上被我打个正着。这不是第一次被叮了，但几乎每一次被叮到，没三两下便被我打着了。看来这虽然是国大，人都不笨，但蚊子却都不怎么样啊，不过还好它们不怎么样，要不然我就遭殃了啊。。。

last night was bad, real bad, had stomach pain. read carefully, its stomach pain, not stomachache. the pain was horrible that i had no choice but to get to baed early, wishing that i will be ok this morning. well, was much better this moning, though still feel a bit uneasy in my stomach. anyway, no more pain is gd liao. if u ask me the cause of this pain, i have no idea. u know de la, im always the sway one, im not surprise if i really pain till this morning n have to send to hospital in the end...

after my morning breakfast, i went back to sleep again (wat a lazy pig). i had a dream, a very nice dream. if e dream can become reality, i really dun mind the yester pain again, but its a dream after all...

had a gathering with weike n xinhong today. wow, its really a long time since i last met them (actually met xinhong recently la). we cant decide on wat to do initially, n since i had gotten a new boardgame, i decided to jio them n play togther...

puerto rico, is really a game full of rules to remember. had tried it out with my sis n cousin a few days ago so that i can hav the practical experience to teach weike n xinhong. had 2 games with them at smu, not bad, but i believe the game structure will be totally different if i can get more players to play (anyway, this is a 3-5 players game if i forget to mention it before)...

met up with yingjie n junming later in e evening. this time, i totally can experience e power of 'talking' undertaken by yingjie. dunno whether its gd or bad tht e others cant make it, but at least i mus say its really gd to see your old friends again...

meet up with sijia, huiwen n ziyuan again tonight. went to walk around somerset 313 n orchard central. quite amaze by e escalators in orchard, here got, there got, out of nowhere oso got...

i wasnt full after my dinner. huiwen say i 饿 is it? my reply is jus 我不饿，只是不饱而已。wats so diffficult about this statement? im jus not hungry and not full, thts all...

we then had dessert at e later part of e night. i had a big plate of ice kachang. after that huiwen ask me if im 饱了？my reply is 不饱，不过有点撑。to huiwen, a person must be 饱 first then can 撑，but this may not be correct in every situation...

normally, after we hav a balance meal, we shd feel 饱, n if we overeat, then we will feel 撑。in this case now, im jus drinking a lot of water frm e ice kachang, how can this be 饱 when i definitely dont feel e digustion going on. water is not in e solid state, having a lot of it in ur body will make u feel 撑 but may not feel 饱. this applys equally if i pump air into ur body, u will feel 撑 up by e gas, but in actual fact u dont feel 饱 at all. therefore 饱 is actually not a subset of 撑, but they do still intersect...

met up with ziyuan for dinner at orchard ion. wow, e floors ar tall, n because i jus walk in frm e mrt station, i got abit lost. while waiting for ziyuan, i did explore a bit on B2, B1 and stop at e ground floor at e info counter looking at e floor maps. maps ar e best to know e whole building structure but too bad, it does not hav e north sign...

we had our food at e food court. can say i like e ambience n decoration, but will be better if there ar more ah mohs, then i will feel more like im in overseas...

after dinner of course is taka kino time. this part no need to say oso know wat im doing there la...

after payment, went down to e basement walk ard n head back to orchard station. on e way back, saw meixin. i was jus standing in front of her n she still cant see me. since im with friend, so i normally will not take e trouble to even call her at all as we ar walking away le. as i always tell her, 有缘就会见着的，now is 我跟她有缘，她跟我无缘嘛, cannot say 我不要见她哦, then how now?

i was surprise when i realised that cathay is not showing 'the ugly truth' anymore, so fast! its only up for three weeks. luckily other companies are still showing, although with limited timing liao. i jus go n watch it tonight b4 its too late...

well, its a 'very me' show where it first tells u tht e truth is always ugly (n i did tell u all tht im actually a bad guy), n frm here e story goes on. i agree tht this kinda romance comedy show normally have a low budget, but bobian this is e kind of show i like where most ppl dont. (i gotten my ticket jus 45mins before e show starts n i gotten e second row from e back, u can see how many ppl really like watching this kinda show, but maybe bcos its NC16 ba...) well i dont mind begin in e minority as im nv in e majority in a lot of ways anyway, so jus be me...

the truth may be ugly, but its alright as long as the ending is beautiful...

not really as usual, but quite normal tht i went back to nus to study today (since got a whole day to spend ma). this time round, i got to drive all e way to sch, cos my sis was with me, she needed a place to concentrate on doing her work. nothing else is worth mentioning le except my lunch, which we took it at ghim moh market (since got car n i know e way there, although is my 1st time drive there de la...). i ordered nasi lemak frm a 不起眼 de store, n after i tasted it, the 1st impression i got is tht e rice is really very nice, 香气十足. although e 菜色 isnt fantastic, but e rice is gd enough for me to feel like going there for nasi lemak again, n when will i go there again? i really dunno...

hopeless ppl i realised today in my class...

case1)
last week, this gal was sitting on the right side of me. she jus din wan to take out her notes from her ring file and just opened up the ring file flat on the table. furthermore, she din take out the staples that binds the notes, which resulted in torn in those holes meant for you to file up in the ring file. wats worst, while the lecture is on the right side of the notes, she jus pushed the file to the left and somesort pushed my hand away using the file, very disturbing. n i noticed that she did the same disturbing action to the guy on her right...

today, when i saw her came in, i quickly put something on the empty seat beside me, so that she will go n sit somewhere else, n she did, somewhere a few rows in front of me. during the break time, i saw her came back from her break and she couldn't find her seat. the stupid part was that she was standing nearly in front of her seat and yet she din see it n went looked out for everywhere else....

theres this gal that always stand up in the mids of the lecture to go toilet. the point is that she jus walked via the way that is fastest to the nearest toilet, which is a route walking in front of everybody. y jus cant she walk the other way to the further toilet n not make everyone take attention on her? n while she is walking towards or back from the toilet, she will take up her hands to cover the side of her head, which i seriously think that she believes by doing so, no one will really notice her (ostrich mentality)...

today during break, i heard her saying this to her friend “你刚才有没有看到，我的脚trip到我的脚leh...”

tada, its Citadels the boardgame (actually its a card game la...)

this image below is the 8 original characters in this game. actually this set include e expansion set liao, so exist e nineth character n more special cards...

with e nineth character included, this game can play up to 8 players (if not, then can only up 7 players, which is still a lot le). i tried it out with my sis. i can tell u for a 2 players game, its not fun enough, at least u need 4 ppl to play then u will feel e fun. i had e rules inside my head liao (actually its quite an easy game), so next time got chance then we try playing ba (hope i wont hav forgotten how to play by tht time)...

took me quite some time to get this entry done, cos really no time for this weekend...

sat:
went taka kino to shop for my comic. its been half a year since i really cleared my outstanding list. wow, shio, and lucky enough for me to realise early enough that e cashier actually billed me twice for a book before i walked out of kino...

after tht, met tao siang, junjie n wai yean in suntec and squeezed ard in e pc show (with my 2 bags of comics in my hands). actually we had nothing in mind tht we really want, so jus 1 hr n we ar out of it le. then went carrefour to 'see' ard since nothing to do. we had our dinner at tuk tuk (thai kitchen outside toys"r"us). e food is quite nice, can go there again to try out other dishes...

we 'dissolve' ourselves at ard 8.30pm , n i went to join my sis in e pc show, ya, squeeze again. then went to carrefour again to get a book shelf for all my upcoming files, big files...

breakfast, took a 67 to tampines, then changed to 969 to woodland. ya, met up with longqing n suhui for our jb trip...

since we were talking all e way, i din really realise how much time we spent to get to jb's new custom. e new one is quite gd, n even hav a bridge for ppl to jus get into city square...

met up with junpei in city square n went for our first activity, k songs. its actually k lunch to us since we settled our meal in e k lounge. not bad, freeflow of drinks, jus tht e food is abit... n e system abit...

we only k for 2 hrs n we moved on to our next destination, cinema, to get our ticks for 'blood the last vampines'. b4 e show starts, we had 1 hr to shop ard first...

after e show, its nearly 5pm le, n then its really time for us to do some real shopping. had our dinner at ard 7+pm n secret recipe for dessert (real cheap). we left city square at ard 8.30pm for e custom to head back home. its after stamping back my passport at e jb custom tht i then realised tht on e same day last year (14 jun), i came to jb too...

next, went back to nus sci canteen for a cheap lunch. i intended to order chicken chop but change my mind to pork chop cos e 2 ppl queueing in front of me order tht (mus hav taste gd, else wont hav so many ppl order de). however e outcome isnt wat i hav expected (shd hav order chicken chop instead). then its cheap dessert time, where i ordered ice kachiang, gd in this kind of hot weather man...

then, acjc, where i had my last paper for this sem (i think this is e toughest). if really hav to compare, i still think rjc is better as an exam venue in some ways...

last, tampines, n i had my dinner with my family in crystal jade. after tht is 'night in the museum 2', cos my mum watch 1 le n quite like e story, so bring her watch part 2 loh...

some of my friends have already tried out my quiz in facebook on 'how well u know me!'. everybody has their own objective of setting up those questions. for my case, u do not need to know my everyday life to do tht quiz, all u need is to have communicate with me in person before will do. however, i mus admit tht for those who have stayed with me together, eg: NS friends, will definitely have a clearer view of my 'mindset'...

(for ppl who ar intending to set tht quiz, pls set it in such a way tht e ans is regardless of when e quiz taker do it. i have seen 1 ans which says 'last week', which will not be true when a person do e quiz a week later. quiz setter, pls be more careful such tht e quiz taker will not be able to observe ur 'carelessness'...)

今天去了orchard to settle bill。真的是很热loh，到了taka basement 2，那个摆很多东西卖的中央庭都不会很多人leh，每次卖玩具的，今天的是女装shoes & bags，看起来蛮便宜的也没人抢。这让我想起张学友的一首歌，副歌是：‘天气这么热我那里通通不想去，只想躲在家看着我的电视吹冷气’。看来大家都是这样吧。。。

we can differentiate our work and earnings into 4 classes as shown below (working theory):

1A --- less work more pay （做少赚多）
1B --- more work more pay （做多赚多）
2A --- less work less pay （做少赚少）
2B --- more work less pay （做多赚少）

all of us like to be in class A, which is to work less. however, due to our standard of living n culture, a lot of us choose to be in class 1,which is to earn more. now, if u wan me to choose, i will choose class A instead of class 1, becoz we cant really choose our pay since its up to e management to decide on our pay increament, but we can choose our job since 'throwing letter' is decided in our hands...

we all heard of some jobs tht says 'ur pay depends on how hard u work, e more hardworking u ar, e more money u will get', to me, this may not be always true. one may end up in class 2B then, which is more work n less pay. since working more may face e risk of earning less, might as well go for a lesser work job n try ur luck for a gd pay, haha...

果然是‘清明时节雨纷纷’，今天和上个礼拜一样，只是和不同的亲戚，去不同的地方拜拜不同的长辈吧了，不过今天却下了场大雨呀，弄得回家的路难走，但却无法剿熄我们在那儿如山高的烟火，我们的火焰一度还转为青色的呢，也因为这旺火，导致我的脸都通红了。。。

在直接回家前，到了sim lim square一趟，去找我用着的那款式的计算机，因为我家里那架已陪我一十三年的开始出现问题了。经过多番搜寻，终于让我找到一款极度相似我家里那架的，真是感谢还有货让我带回家呀，希望这架新的计算机能陪我度过这接下来的漫长日子啊。。。

今天又去跑步了，这次选择的路线是跑到east coast park这一条。以往都是到了海边就转左，往bedok camp跑去，link去那里的park connector，不过这次就选择了转右跑下去。跑啊跑到了vjc对面，这次link去那里的park connector往北跑，过了st pat. 再转右，朝回家的方向跑去。由于这次的jogging离上一次已有一段时间，所以这次回到家，脚都酸毕了，看来真是要多做运动哦。。。

昨天下午不小心在沙发上睡着了，结果起来时，左脚大抽筋，疼到现在都还没全好呢。今天也是累得一天，一早起来出门去拜拜（清明嘛），弄得我都烫烫的，幸好昨天跟姐拿好了cooling mask，好让我回家后可以好好cool down我的脸。其实今天也不是很坏，至少吃了顿点心大餐for brunch。。。

these 2 weeks are fyp final presentation for math honours students. time really flies, so long ago liao since i last attended those final presentations. i rem i had to attend those frm e senior batch one, due to my abnormal fyp timing. i din get to attend those frm my batch one, which is y it seems really long time ago to me. anyway, gd luck to all, especially that one friend, who is oso under my prof...

saw a man chasing after another man (thief, i believe) this afternoon across a street. as i observe, nobody is giving a helping hand. well, cant really blame anyone coz nobody is sure tht e person kena chase is a thief. e chaser only 'ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh' loudly, not indicating tht e person he is chaing is a thief or wat. so in e end, everybody is standing by e road side watching show...

come on la, we all know:
