intro-talk...
my moniter is waving, my alarm clock is dancing, my whole rm is moving, m i too stress up until everything moves? then realise, oh, earthquake again. living on e 15th floor somehow or rather can really feel it. argh..., heck it, im still amending my intro-talk slides while im suppose to present it today. that is the first quake. by the next quake i felt, i had finished amending them, n is jus praying hard for no errors to happen le. choose to wear long sleeve, cos im e first presenter of the week, no one to follow or observe. now im e first player n hav make my move, so wat will e second player do after he observes my decision? hummm...
ya, n everything is over by 4.30pm. frm now till my mid-term talk, i hav 5 mths to prepare, much longer than those who starts their project in sem1 (onli 3 to 4 mths), cos i hav a longer sch holiday break in btw. my feed back is tht my leather shoes is making too much noise cos i keep walking up n down e rm thro out my talk. actually i will b very nervous if i dun move at all, will seem quite lost, n i really like to walk around, i even do tht when im at home. another reason is tht i need to see my slides to present. when i had moved to e back of e rm, i mus turn to face e front which i can then see e screen liao. but i cant stay at e back all e time, so i hav to move to e front again. but then i hav to turn back again else ppl will onli see my back. so repeating this procedures, im making lots of noise thro out e talk. my proposal to e math department is tht they shd floor e rm with carpet, then will b noiseless when i pace around. my sis has a better proposal, tht is to cut e carpet to my shoes size n stick it to e bottom of it, then i will b always walking on carpet le...
Anyway, really thx meixin, sijia, siong thye, jackson, tao siang, jeff for coming, (not forgetting those who encourage me along e way). especially e gals, mx came dwn for nothing n sj brought her laptop along jus for my 'in case of emergency', 真的感动... dun really like talking to air at all. i still think its better to hav more ppl in e rm than having lesser. feel really much nicer to b e centre of attention sometimes...
now, for those who came to my talk, 3 ar frm year4, 4 ar frm year 3 of which i onli really know 2 of them, n 1 is frm year2. so in short, 1-2-3 of year2-3-4 came. wat does this show? i hav more friends frm year4 than tht frm my coop?
(1) it seems tht onli ppl who ar in or going to b taking honours, ar then more interested in such talks.
(2) year4 students hav more flexible time than those who ar in e lower years, still attending lots of lectures for their mods...
seems like a long boring blog, but this is really memery to me...
